Seeking a more moderate Mardi Gras meal on Tuesday, February 28? A special mardi gras lunch menu is currently served now through March at The Manor House, with three courses ($44), which includes a king cake dessert from pastry chef Catherine Rodriguez. More details can be found here.

Snooze

Tuesday, February 28, also happens to be International Pancake Day, and Snooze is hitting customers with a one-two punch: The breakfast restaurant will be showcasing a “sushi-style” pancake menu offering guests a variety of eight to 10 petite pancakes, including rocky road and berry “buck wild” cheesecake pancakes, as well as king cake-flavored pancakes. Lucky guests at each location who find the baby (“the jack”) inside the king cake variety will win a $25 gift card to Snooze. All pancake sales on Fat Tuesday will go to Urban Harvest in Houston. Ragin’ Cajun

Starting at 11 am with lunch service are South Louisiana classics and Louisiana boiled crawfish. Happy hour is from 2 to 7 pm and will also feature drink and oyster specials. Dinner service revs up with music from 6 to 10 pm. (See below for the music at each Ragin’ Cajun location.) Beads will be given out at lunch and dinner.

Jax Grill is celebrating this Fat Tuesday with Cajun specials such as blackened catfish with white wine cream sauce and red beans and rice with andouille sausage. Live zydeco music begins at 5 pm, and happy hour starts at 4 pm and lasts until the restaurant shuts down that night.
