It was a day of celebration and competition: Cochon555 contenders of the spirit, wine and pork contests all walked away with honor when it was time to pack up the tables and go home. (Click here to see the event details.)

Three winners were selected at Sunday’s festivities: Somm Smackdown winner was Lindsay Thomas of Pappas Steakhouse. Punch King competition winner was Jim McConn, representing Americas. And finally, the crowned pork hero? Manabu Horiuchi (photo, above) from Kata Robata Sushi + Grill.

A light drizzle early in the evening didn’t seem to bother diners and drinkers, and the location (Hughes Manor) leant itself nicely to the event as it offered both inside and outdoor spaces and guests had plenty of room to roam.
