URBAN HARVEST GROWS TWO NEW FARMERS’ MARKETS
Urban Harvest’s family of farmers’ markets is growing with the opening of two new markets.

Urban Harvest Farmers’ Market at HCC Southwest

A new Friday market at the HCC Southwest campus will kick off on Friday, October 28.
This market will be held 3 to 7 pm at HCC Southwest, 5601 West Loop South, and will include some of the favorite vendors from the Eastside, Highland Village and City Hall markets as well as new vendors. However, it will be a different kind of market because of its time and location. “The HCC Southwest Market will have more of a ‘street food’ component with more food trucks and lots of locally prepared foods,” says Urban Harvest executive director Mark Bowen. “The market will be a quick and fun way for people on their way home from work to enjoy an early dinner on Friday night and shop for local ingredients for the weekend.”

Urban Harvest Farmers’ Market at Sugar Land Town Square

A new year-round market will debut in Sugar land on Thursday, November 3, 4 to7 pm at 2711 Town Center Boulevard North. Urban Harvest Farmers’ Market at Sugar Land Town Square will include farm-fresh produce, locally prepared foods to take away and plenty of delicious hot and cold food items to enjoy right at the market as well as monthly chef demos. The November 3 debut will include a chef throwdown with three local chefs.

Urban Harvest’s family of farmers’ markets already includes Eastside Farmers’ Market, 3000 Richmond at Eastside, held Saturdays 8 am to noon; Highland Village Farmers’ Market, 2730 Suffolk, held Sundays 10 am to 2 pm; and City Hall Farmers’ Market, 901 Bagby, held Wednesdays 11 am to 2 pm.
