This past Monday evening My Table magazine and Moet Hennessy hosted the second installment of our Toque 5 dinner series at Mockingbird Bistro.

Not only would we like to thank the amazing team of chefs — John Sheely of Mockingbird Bistro, Juan Carlos Gonzalez of Bistro Alex, Greg Lowry of Voice, Jason Chaney of The Barbed Rose and Ruben and Hugo Ortega of Hugo’s — as well as sommeliers Sean Beck and Nicole Newman — who created such a remarkable meal, but our fantastic guests who laughed, wined and dined with us throughout the evening. It is always fun to meet our readers face to face, as we know their names well since we’re a small business. I’ve included a few photos from the evening, but you can see the whole photo set here on our facebook page. A big thank-you to Cornelius Nursery who donated the beautiful potted herbs for the dinner. They were used as the floral arrangements and were taken home as gifts for our dinner guests, coordinating perfectly with our “sustainability” theme.

If you’re interested in joining us for our “April Fool’s” dinner, the third installment of the Toque 5 series on April 18, at hosting restaurant Bistro Alex in the Hotel Sorella, purchase your tickets now, as we are already half-way to capacity, and space is limited. If you’re wondering what an April Fool’s dinner entails, think backward courses and dishes that are a play on words. Visit our events page to see more about the Toque 5 series, and all of our other upcoming events. We’ll see you there!
